Crystal growth of a new orthorhombic ErBa(Cu,Pt)O4 material: Crystal chemistry and characterization

摘要: Abstract A new compound in the quaternary oxide system, Er-Ba-Cu-Pt-O, was discovered. Single crystals were grown using CuO as a flux platinum crucible by slow cooling method. The supplied from inner wall of crucible. Chemical analysis revealed chemical composition this to be ErBa 1.03 Cu 0.77 Pt 0.46 O 4.34 . crystal system found orthorhombic (space group Pcmn) with average unit cell dimensions = 10.287(3) A, b 5.659(1) and c 13.157 (3) A. We propose formula ErBa(Cu,Pt)O 4 large, but broad diamagnetic transition, which should come superconducting state, observed below 80–90 K single aggregates.
