摘要: Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of cadaveric knees was performed to determine optimal sequences for visualization hyaline cartilage. Full-thickness cartilage lesions ranging in diameter from 1 5 mm and a partial-thickness lesion 15 were created the femoral articular surfaces three knees. The then imaged with 1.5-T imager various two-dimensional high-resolution three-dimensional (3D) techniques. After imaging, knee specimens sectioned evaluation. Measurements thickness fast spin-echo images correlated best those gross specimen. Diffuse areas thinning also most accurately identified images. Small, focal defects delineated 3D SPGR (spoiled GRASS [gradient-recalled acquisition steady state])
