摘要: Determination of the predictors hypoproteinemia among cancer patients following extensive surgery may enhance their nutritional management and clinical outcome. This study evaluated predictive factors postoperative abdominal surgery. An age- gender-matched case-control (n = 115) was conducted undergoing (cases; n 81) moderate (controls; 34) Case received total parenteral nutrition (TPN), including 3 units fresh frozen plasma 200 mL 5% human albumin solution, for 8 days (POD). had lower mean serum protein (TSP) levels throughout POD (F value 13.81; P 0.001). Despite TPN, cases greatest (±SD) TSP percent change on 1 (−24.6% ± 13.0, vs. −12.6% 9.2; < 0.0001) did not regain preoperative (POD 8: −14.3% 12.5 6.9% 13.4; 0.006). The likelihood in this group gr...
