摘要: The reaction between cellulose and formaldehyde has been known for over fifty years and, whilst its technical application is full of pitfalls, there are many aspects great theoretical interest in connection with the chemistry mechanism certain finishing effects. One type swollen state gives a product “wet but not dry” recovery from creasing, whereas another collapsed fibre damaged high crease-recovery low water-imbibition. results accord generally proportions regions poor lateral order cotton rayon, bear some relation to similar effects produced by resinous condensation products. effect process on breaking loads rayon presents anomalies, which discussed together controversial matter water-imbibition covalent cross-linkages.
