摘要: The GET pathway, using several proteins (Gets 1-5 and probably Sgt2), posttranslationally conducts tail-anchored (TA) to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). At ER, TA are inserted into lipid bilayer then sorted directed their respective destinations in secretory pathway. Until last year, there was no structural information on any of components but now ten crystal structures Get3 a variety nucleotide-bound states conformations. Get4 portion Get5 also emerged 2010. This minireview provides detailed comparison discusses mechanistic relevance protein insertion. It addresses outstanding gaps molecular this system, including Get5, Sgt2, transmembrane complex comprising Get1 Get2.
