摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine differences in empathy between offender and nonoffender youth. Seventy-six male 33 female juvenile offenders the ages 12 18 years nonoffenders 15 19 comprised samples for study. Measures empathy, altruism, social support were administered all participants then analyzed status group differences. Only 1 dimension emotional tone, found be significantly different based on status. Gender both groups another personal distress. Among youth, females yielded higher scores distress than did males. Emotional tone family structure most predictive variables Findings discussed previous research implications interventions addressed.
