摘要: An inverse-direct method for predicting the vortex-induced vibrations of uniform and nonuniform cylinders in flows is developed. In this method, fluid force acting per unit length on a cylinder flow found by using known experimental results inverting equation motion cylinder. This function response parameter (structural damping divided ratio displaced mass to structural mass) frequency (the intrinsic shedding natural frequency). The dependence shown explain modal coupling patterns taut cables beams flows. For or cylinders, applied locally varies along cylinder, depending local values ratio. predictions tapered pivoted linearly sheared are compared with data. general agreement between data quite good.
