摘要: The functional cycle of the Rac1 GTPase involves a large number steps, including post-translational processing, cytosolic sequestration by RhoGDIs, translocation to specific subcellular localizations, activation GDP/GTP exchange, inactivation GTP hydrolysis, and re-formation Rac1/RhoGDI inhibitory complexes. Here, we summarize current knowledge about regulation those steps. In addition, discuss recently described, cytoskeletal-dependent feed-back loop that favors efficient Rac subfamily proteins during cell signaling.
