摘要: The aim of this study was to elucidate the physiological basis hibernation under tropical conditions. Body temperature and metabolic rate were measured in field Cheirogaleus medius, a small Malagasy primate, which spends up seven months hibernating. During hibernation, body tracked highly fluctuating ambient passively, resulting high diurnal fluctuations. This may explain apparent absence periodic arousals. Metabolic low during compared normothermic stages. Hibernation C. medius therefore presumably represents an important effective adaptation for successful survival unfavourable dry season western Madagascar.
