摘要: Ventricular septal defect (VSD) accounts for approximately 20% of all forms congenital heart disease. The conventional treatment has been the surgical closure these defects. Percutaneous VSD had attempted in past but it was not until development Amplatzer Muscular occluder device that higher rates and safety procedure made an attractive alternative to closure. devices have also designed close perimembranous post infarction muscular VSDs results encouraging. In addition percutaneous approach, intraoperative (perventricular) technique developed allow safe with small infants poor vascular access avoiding need cardiopulmonary bypass or concomitant cardiac defects requiring repair. this review transcatheter occluders will be discussed each type technical aspects detailed.
