摘要: We observed the nearby galaxy M 51 (NGC 5194) with BeppoSAX. The X-ray properties of nucleus below 10 keV are almost same as ASCA results regarding hard component and neutral Fe K line, but intensity is about half 1993 data. Beyond this, in BeppoSAX PDS data, we detected a bright emission which dominates above keV. 10{100 flux luminosity this respectively 2 11 erg s 1 cm 41 . These times higher than extrapolation from soft band, similar to Ginga, found power law 2{20 band. Considering other wavelength luminosity, together strong most likely arises low active nucleus, obscured column density 24 This suggests that hidden AGNs may well be present galaxies. interpret discrepancy between Ginga satellites due large variability absorption toward line sight over several years, suggesting Compton thick material on spatial scale parsec. Apart ultra-luminous o-nuclear sources exhibit long-term time variability, state transition Galactic black hole candidates.
