Statistical properties and error threshold of quasispecies on single-peak Gaussian-distributed fitness landscapes

摘要: The stochastic Eigen model proposed by Feng et al. (2007) (Journal of Theoretical Biology, 246, 28) showed that error threshold is no longer a phase transition point but crossover region whose width depends on the strength random fluctuation in an environment. underlying cause this phenomenon has not yet been well examined. In article, we adopt single peak Gaussian distributed fitness landscape instead constant one to investigate and analyze change statistical property quasi-species population. We find roughly linear relation between strength. For given quasi-species, relative concentration minimum with normal distribution at maximum averaged concentration, it however largest value bimodal near threshold. above results deepen our understanding quasispecies are heuristic for exploring practicable antiviral strategies.
