摘要: Abstract Breast milk (BM) provides antioxidant components that play a key role in protecting the neonate against oxidative stress. Therefore, different strategies have been pursued to preserve or increase its levels. In this sense, studies reported probiotics may improve capacity of BM; however, intracellular content not yet assessed. Hence, aim study was evaluate randomized double-blind controlled clinical effect Lactobacillus casei CRL-431 (IC-431) on and some enzymatic non-enzymatic antioxidants, as well indicators degree oxidation BM. For purpose, nursing mothers from first twelfth month lactation, were into two groups (n = 8); either receive an edible gel with IC-431 without (placebo). Despite no significant differences (p > 0.05) found between total capacity, biomarkers stress BM, supplementation showed positive trend increasing parameters slight decrease markers. Thus, be used potential supplement for mothers.
