摘要: During the past decade there has been increasing interest in potentially harm ful effect of too frequent exposure to roentgen rays. T he dental profession specifically implicated by some workers since many members pro fession advocate yearly roentgen-ray ex amination. The num ber roentgenograms taken American dentists course a year is enormous. I t esti m ated tha during week April 16 22, 1950, 1,600,000 were .1 problem complicated increased body radiation as result atomic and hydrogen bomb tests. Taken collectively, geneticists2 have pressed concern benefits derived through use rays are not compensated for ef fects which will further genera tions. However, recent evidence Budowsky others3 indicated that no significant hematologic changes clinical importance noted between findings before after full outh roentgenographic exam ina tion consisting 14 periapical roent genograms. In order gain more knowledge concerning effects irradiation produced x-ray unit, study total red white blood cells rats was con ducted. This prelim inary work involved on growth rat, pictures known occur with small an am ount 5 r ,4 thus may be considered sensitive indicator radiation.
