State-of-the-Art Business Performance Evaluation of the Advanced Wireless Heterogeneous Networks to be Deployed for the TERA Age

摘要: This article originally presents a conceptual model to assess the business performance of future advanced wireless and mobile heterogeneous network aiming preserve enormous broadband demand so called "TERA age" in which monthly usage will be expressed terabytes average data rates 1.0 Gbps per single user. During assessment from techno-economic perspective, addition level user demand, we also take into account wall penetration losses, density existing/new base station sites recent improvements cost hierarchical cell structures. We consider spectral efficiency relevant for forthcoming radio access technologies like: 4G LTE-Advanced or LTE-A (Long Term Evolution Release 10 beyond), 5G cellular systems deployed millimeter-wave (mmW) bands high-capacity local area (WLAN) standards like IEEE 802.11ac/ad. In order compare achievable profit margins various architectures, through extensive dimensioning dense-urban environment considering total present value, determine cost-efficient capacity expansion strategies operators by means proper relation production transferred revenues. The findings show that micro stations equipped with mmW technology WLAN 802.11ac points, can guarantee sustainability outdoor operations. For highly demanding office environments most solutions are pico placed inside buildings together 802.11ad enabled points. infrastructure is elastic decrease unit macro one side coverage increase form other side. cases over-provisioning, principles provide guaranteed quality service terms particular number users.
