Association between child maltreatment indicators and developmental problems in early childhood education

摘要: Introduction: Short and long-term exposure to maltreatment can increase the risk of developmental problems. Objective: To characterize a sample children in early education with regard the presence indicators child abuse emotional behavioural problems determine association between these variables. Methods: The consisted 40 elementary school children whose parents or guardians teachers (n = 6) gave permission for their participation this study. Data were obtained using Phrase Inventory Intra-family Child Abuse (PIICA) Teacher’s Report Form (TRF). Descriptive inferential statistical analyses made. Results: The average score IFVD was 17.82, which is out range risk, according instrument instructions. However, 30% suspicions higher than 23. divided into two groups comparison TRF (victimized and non-victimized). Significant differences found Total Problems Internalizing Problems, although averages item responses from both considered normal at all levels and sub-items. Conclusion: Children that present are also likely present indicators depression anxiety non-clinical levels, corroborating other studies. the convenience this study may have introduced bias terms severity. Further studies larger more diverse samples necessary.
