摘要: The objectives of this study were to measure methane emissions from liquid manure stored on two farms (farm A and farm B) in eastern Canada evaluate the effect various mitigation strategies emissions. Manure was kept at 10°C 20°C for a 370-day period storage pilots. temperature profile tanks both also monitored during experimental period. B (manure emitted soon after it loaded pilots 20°C. It produced twice as much 10°C. Frequent removal summer would significantly reduce B, since an average 22°C measured A) 3% 54% by 20°C, respectively, over monitoring Additionally, lag phase about 250 days which, most farms, is longer than between land applications. Methane production should then be minimal. Results used simulate impact practices full-scale structures farms. Increasing 2 3 times year leaving cows outside nights decreased averages 9% 12%, respectively. Reducing depth residual left tank application 60 30 cm reduced 26%. remaining structure becomes important source adapted inoculum that can readily produce methane. In every scenario, per kg milk produced. difference shows large error arise estimating using single emission factor all within region.
