摘要: Background Human β-defensin-4 (hBD-4), a new member of the β-defensin family, was discovered by an analysis genomic sequence. The objective this study to clarify hBD-4 expression in human lung tissue, along with inducible response infectious stimuli, localization, and antimicrobial activities peptides. We also investigated participation chronic lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI) measuring concentrations peptides bronchial epithelial lining fluid (ELF).
