摘要: The glass tube of spent fluorescent lamps is contaminated with mercury, which might be a serious hazard in the case conventional recycling by melting other glasses. A possible solution could its incorporation into clay body to fabricate common fired ceramics such as bricks and tiles. objective this work characterize type lamp waste incorporated clayey ceramic. characterization was performed terms wettability tests evaluate interaction between surface ceramic function firing temperature. results showed that contact angle decreased increasing temperature, reaching value 79°, at temperature 1100°C, but not sufficient completely wet However, compatible chemical composition reduction porosity flow soft particles favor consolidation structure above 900°C.
