摘要: Despite high deforestation rates in dry forests there are few assessments of the impacts this transformation on biodiversity. This study addresses impact clearing plant species composition and diversity mulga (Acacia aneura) Queensland, Australia using data collected from either side 58 boundaries, incorporating site management conditions. The physical climatic conditions sites were narrowly constrained but had greater influence richness than per se. In general, abundance perennial forbs shrubs was higher cleared forest compared with adjacent intact no significant difference other life forms. Perennial forb diminished age clearings, particularly where acid sub-soils been exposed proliferated. Where is not accompanied by establishment exotic pasture it has a relatively benign effect diversity, itself remains density as small trees integrity could be maintained restoration.
