摘要: Over the last 40 years different thermal energy storage materials have been investigated with aim of enhancing efficiency in buildings, improving systems performance, and increasing share renewable energies. However, main requirements for their efficient implementation are not fully met by most them. This paper develops a comparative review thermophysical properties reported literature. The results show that highest volumetric capacities best available sensible, latent thermochemical 250 MJ/m3, 514 MJ/m3 2000 respectively, corresponding to water, barium hydroxide octahydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate. A group salt hydrates inorganic eutectics identified as promising development competitive cooling, heating comfort applications short-term. In long-term, seem promising. additional research efforts required.
