摘要: ‘Multiple fuels-multiple choice’ is a common notion associated with the energy choice theory. Following same theoretical framework, this study aims to identify: (i) existing sources of (ii) factors that determine household particular source energy. The based on primary data collected from 100 randomly selected households in two villages northwest Pakistan. found rural households, though having access multiple energy, persistently depend biomass fuels for domestic consumption. Nonetheless, exhibit inter-fuel switching according changes their socioeconomic conditions. concludes income not only determinant transition traditional more convenient forms other such as alternative and consumer preferences also account choice.
