摘要: Acoustic quantification (AQ) allows continuous real-time measurements of the cross-sectional area heart chambers by differentiating acoustic backscatter characteristics blood from those myocardial tissue within an operator defined region interest [1,2]. By providing on-line beat-to-beat information on clinically important physiologic parameters, this technology facilitates quantitative non-invasive assessment hemodynamic responses to pharmacological and surgical interventions [3-5].
