摘要: Although largely investigated in adults, the issue of hypersensitivity to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) childhood is unsettled due lack sufficient data. The purpose this study examine clinical syndromes NSAIDs children and adolescents. We performed a review relevant papers on cutaneous respiratory adverse reactions triggered by pediatric patients, recount our own experience 43 well-characterized NSAID-sensitive with who were submitted controlled oral challenges new inhibitors enzyme isoform cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). it has been suggested that allergic pseudoallergic occur rarely, their prevalence remains unknown scarcity studies. About 23% patients seen institutions are young aged 8-18 yr more frequently develop facial angioedema as main manifestation. Most atopic show than one drug (cross-reactors). Drugs inhibit COX-2 higher specificity classic better tolerated NSAID-hypersensitive patients.
