摘要: So far, little is understood about the causes and potential implications of changing family patterns. Insight into these processes essential in framing policies to safeguard solidarity thal families help providing.This volume aims contribute this insight by offering a first overview empirical results so-called Netherlands Kinship Panel Study (NKPS), large-scale database on kinship Netherlands. How much there what forms does it take? The popular idea middle generation that has cope with double caring task be qualified: "sandwich generation" quite limited size. often assumed "lack" intergenerational seems mainly problem those higher education: more highly educated have less contact their parents children than do lower education.
