摘要: German and United States data from the Luxembourg Income Study are used to compare relative economic well-being of Germans Americans in 1980s. In our analysis we use both official equivalence scales consumption-based country-specific developed for Germany by Merz et al. (1993). We verify previous studies that show inequality incidence poverty greater than Germany. Overall levels found not be sensitive scale used. But yields quite different results those using all other with respect income vulnerable groups within population, especially older single people.
