Synthesis, microstructure analysis, electrical and magnetic properties of Ni 0.5 Mg 0.5 Fe 2 O 4 – BaTiO 3 Nano-composites

摘要: Multiferroic nano-composites with chemical formula (x) Ni0.5Mg0.5Fe2O4 (NMFO) + (1-x) BaTiO3 (BTO); (x = 10, 20, 30 and 40%) were prepared via sol–gel method. XRD patterns confirmed the presence of a single cubic phase pure NMFO tetragonal BTO. The crystallite size BTO is found to be larger than that NMFO. Moreover, strain increased, while porosity decreased increasing x-content. A high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) revealed formation particle domain in ferrite (NMFO) phase. Field emission scanning (FESEM) demonstrated grain increases temperature dependence D.C electrical resistivity showed semiconducting behavior all samples, Electrical permittivity (e') dielectric loss (tan δ) at low (20–105 Hz) high (1 MHz–3 GHz) frequencies room considered. resonance phenomenon observed only high-frequency range such resonant frequency shifts higher ferroelectric hysteresis loops (P-E) maximum polarization (Pmax) ferromagnetic (M-H), carried out using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), an increase saturation magnetization (Ms) Relative magnetic permeability (µr) as function indicated cooperative between phases (380–480) °C.
