摘要: A pattern of excessive hip adduction and internal rotation with medial deviation the knee has been associated numerous musculo-skeletal dysfunctions. Research into role that ankle dorsiflexion (DF) range motion (ROM) play in lower limb kinematics is lacking. The objective this cross-sectional, observational study was to investigate relationship between DF ROM, during a step-down test without heel elevation healthy female population. Hip ROM measured kinematically using ten-camera Optitrack analysis system. Thirty participants (mean age = 20.4 years; SD = 0.9 years) first performed weight bearing foot flat on step then elevated platform. Ankle DF, were for supporting leg. Participants who had 17° or less displayed significantly more (p = 0.001; Cohen's d effect size = 1.2) than test. limited showed significant reduction elevated-heel (p = 0.008). increased both groups EHSD compared (p > 0.05) Reduced utilised should be taken account when assessing patients aberrant frontal plane alignment.
