摘要: Mechanical testing has been performed to characterize the locking strength of Morse taper locks used for reconstruction large bone defects. Taper joint pairs were locked with a series compressive loads increasing from 500 3500 N. Following each load application distracted either an axial or torsional load. Additional tapers loaded 2 million cycles compression cantilever bending combined compression, followed by distraction. The and distraction increased linearly Compared single application, cyclic loading had little influence on strength, while combination strength. Based these results, in vivo should increase defect reconstruction.
