摘要: Abstract For the 5-year period 1979 to 1983, 242 patients were followed up who had received amiodarone treatment, 156 for supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and 86 ventricular arrhythmias. Five lost follow-up overseas; rest cessation of therapy, death or recent review a mean 24 ± 15 months. Male/female incidence was 1.8:1 age 58 years (range 4 88). Half group impaired left function. Adverse effects recorded in 59% led drug withdrawal 26% total group. In contrast, unsuccessful treatment cause only 5% patients, although an additional 25% stopped taking various reasons. Actuarial survival whole group, subgroups with SVT tachycardia/fibrillation 66%, 74% 52%, respectively, at 50 actuarial probability being alive continuing therapy 19% Thus, effective, few tolerated on long-term basis. Although remains valuable tachycardia, its effectiveness is less certain.
