摘要: OBJECTIVE: To determine if phospholipase A2 (PLA2) type II and IV mRNA expression protein are altered in chronic pancreatitis. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA: PLA2s have an important regulatory function several signaling pathways, especially inflammation. In this study, we examined the of three PLA2 isoforms (type I, II, IV) METHODS: The distribution was studied 15 pancreas samples obtained from patients with pancreatitis using immunohistochemical, Northern blot, situ hybridization techniques. Normal healthy organ donors served as control. RESULTS: blot analysis revealed enhanced levels (5.7-fold) (5.1-fold) (p < 0.01) versus normal pancreas. pancreas, intense I immunostaining present acinar cells, whereas visible only some cells. pancreatitis, more frequently higher intensity Furthermore, immunoreactivity abundant metaplastic ductal cells samples. By hybridization, areas metaplasia exhibited signals. All tissues concomitantly increased for a degree degeneration, metaplasia, fibrosis. CONCLUSIONS: Upregulation types histologic damage suggests that these might contribute to morphologic changes occur
