摘要: Inactivation kinetics of a nanosecond-pulsed plasma jet against panel common pathogenic microorganisms was studied to assist the design and development nonthermal plasma-based treatment schemes for infection control. We evaluated effectiveness our cold-plasma in vitro microbes with varying cell wall membrane characteristics: Gram-positive organisms Staphylococcus aureus epidermidis, Gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa Escherichia coli, yeast Candida albicans. found that all tested this paper were rendered nonculturable (>;99.99%) by end short times ranging from 30 180 s. Our results indicate bacteria can be effectively noncultivable within seconds using He/(1%)O2 cold plasma, susceptibility may vary depending on characteristics addition other resistant mechanisms individual strain.
