摘要: In this retrospective study we analysed the survival in 470 patients with oral cancer. Patients who attended five university hospitals Tehran, Iran, during period 1996-2002 were included. Data obtained from a combination of sources including patients' records, telephone calls, and deaths registered by Ministry Health. Survival curves generated using Kaplan-Maier curves. Univariate multivariate analyses relations between age, sex, site primary tumour, stage, histopathological type made log-rank test Cox's regression analysis. Sex age not associated survival. Treatment stage tumour at time diagnosis related to The overall rates higher stages I or II cancer than those III (OR=2.8, 95% CI=1.8 4.4) IV (OR=4.6, CI=3.1 6.8) diagnosis. treated radiotherapy had lower been operated on operation alone CI=1.7 4.5). There was no difference depending histological tumour. To achieve survival, early detection cancers should be emphasised health programmes improve public awareness preventive activities among dentists Iran.
