摘要: In a previous study, lateral stator electrical machines have been proposed for micro-machining applications where the space in tool head is limited. this paper, construction of machine merged into test bench described. The used measuring standstill torque configuration without bearings, such that only electromagnetic measured. Moreover, can be modified to measure no-load losses and separate mechanical components it using novel method. Further separation different also discussed. Although described on machine, methodology paper applied any machine. I. INTRODUCTION last few years, several studies dealing with design, optimization testing high-speed drives published (1-11). (12), authors grouped application areas those two groups: group one working point drive needs cover wide torque-speed range. Turbo compressors are good example first whereas like spindles belong second group. Furthermore, order fit motor confined spaces around rotor, while still maintaining operating same range characterized by points: low-speed high-torque all as core eddy current solid bodies neglected; low-torque point, copper windings neglected. geometry optimized parametric finite element method (FEM) simulation. further considerations about building detail. which evaluate performance points mentioned above, enabling direct verification FEM simulations. This done modifying setups, at standstill, other higher speeds. setup called static measurement named loss setup. setup, bearingless designed, measured side. allows only, bearing friction, enables analysis. deceleration tests total losses. A segregation from losses, overcoming problem changing friction preload. especially important high-speed, causes an part design special type, similar way.
