摘要: Conserving landscape connections among favorable habitats is a widely used strategy to maintain populations in an increasingly fragmented world. A species can then exist as metapopulation consisting of several subpopulations connected by dispersal. Our study focuses on the importance human–wildlife coexistence areas maintaining connectivity primary small ungulates within and outside protected large central India. We geospatial information presence data model suitable habitats, core corridors for four antelope ~89,000 km2 landscape. found that about 63% integrated across species, lie areas. measured two scenarios: present setting, hypothetical future setting—where are lost. also modelled with high risk human-influenced mortality using eco-geographical variables wildlife records. Overall, we multiple-use forests play role network antelopes. Sizable expanses privately held farmlands plantations contribute essential movement corridors. Some perilous patches greater require mitigation measures such underpasses, overpasses, fences. Greater conservation efforts needed spaces conserve habitat ungulates.
