摘要: Objectives: To assess the value of measuring blood levels myocardial protein cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in diagnosis congenital and acquired heart disease dog evaluation severity failure. Methods: Serum samples obtained from healthy dogs (n=26) diagnosed with a variety conditions (n=35) were assayed for cTnI concentration using an automated immunoassay method. Results also analysed according to degree failure as assessed International Small Animal Cardiac Health Council's scheme. Results: Healthy had very low or undetectable levels, did disease. However, significantly elevated mitral valve disease, dilated cardiomyopathy pericardial effusion. Blood varied failure. Clinical Significance: Measurement may be useful aid suspected indicating failure.
