摘要: The purpose of this study is to assess what impact shortening disclusion time less than .5 seconds during right and left mandibular excursions has on myofascial pain(s) symptoms present in a dental student population. Twenty-five students, who exhibited symptomatology consistent with pains patient, were divided into treatment, control, an untreated group. They participated occlusal adjustment which measured changes time, as well as, muscular symptom remissions resultant from treatment. treated group ten subjects received ICAGD adjustments shorten their per excursion. goal therapy was totally disclude the posterior teeth measurable frame or less. control eight mock tooth polishing. simulate for possible placebo effect remissions. had times but no treatment adjust, occlusion. analyzing attempt show that (performed subjects), resulted change either these two subject groups. Each recalled measurement four five one-year period observation, at they required report status by answering ordinal scale questionnaire. results suggest excursion can induce many symptoms. Additionally, did not appear be factor response, showed statistically significant
