Education for Knowledge Organization: The Indian Scene

摘要: SUMMARY This paper briefly traces the history of library education in India and examines status bibliographic organization control country as a major factor influencing nature content courses knowledge organization. The two basic documents from University Grants Commission—the first one issued 1965 recent 2001—that have influenced university-level course contents are examined. Finally, changes that being brought about years some universities highlighted.
