摘要: Two randomly distributed groups of thoroughbred horses were compared during a 12-week period for their cardio-respiratory and metabolic adjustment to strenuous exercise, training detraining. The trained following the same standardized schedule regularly investigated using treadmill exercise tests (SET) increasing speed. After first SET whole experimental period, group 6 received probiotic (Bioracing) once day while 5 placebo. All other conditions similar both groups. During each SET, oxygen uptake, carbon dioxide output, tidal volume (inspired volume), respiratory rate expired minute obtained 2 ultrasonic pneumotachographs mass spectrometer. parameters mean values calculated last 20 s SET. Heart was continuously measured with polar horse tester. Venous blood sampled before after test analyzed various biochemical parameters. In groups, induced significant modification in most parameters, ie peak exchange ratio, ventilation/min oxygen-uptake ratio heart-rate ratio. 3-week detraining again pre-training However, training-induced modifications occurred earlier proportionally greater probiotic-treated than control. coefficient decreased control but not treated group. changed similarly This suggests that Bioracing could modify physiological effects by improving some aerobic capacities carbohydrate utilization, this effect occurs only periods physical inactivity.
