摘要: This study aimed to characterize the new fungal disease on stem of red-fleshed dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) in Malaysia, which is known as gray blight through morphological, molecular and pathogenicity analyses. Nine isolates were isolated from nine blighted stems H. polyrhizus. Based morphological characteristics, DNA sequences phylogeny (ITS, TEF1-α, β-tubulin), identified Diaporthe arecae, D. eugeniae, hongkongensis, phaseolorum, tectonendophytica. Six recovered Cameron Highlands, Pahang belonged eugeniae (DF1 DF3), hongkongensis (DF9), phaseolorum (DF2 DF12), tectonendophytica (DF7), whereas three Bukit Kor, Terengganu recognized arecae (DFP3), (DFP4), (DFP2). found both Terengganu, Pahang, only Terengganu. The role causing polyrhizus was confirmed. To date, has been previously reported Hylocereus undatus. first report worldwide.
