摘要: Radiological and pathological assessment of the degree extent arterial injury caused by balloon angioplasty was performed in 20 renal arteries obtained at autopsy. Intact were studied angiographically before after dilatation then examined histologically. Both normal diseased subjected to varying degrees dilatation. Damage ranged from minimal intimal disruption major tears muscular media. Equivalent dilatory force created greater damage distal (muscular) than proximal (elastic) portion artery. There no evidence plaque remodeling or compression.
