摘要: TCP and other Internet transport protocols rely on series of hard-coded initial values for their connection state, particularly the congestion control parameters. For example, recently value window has been under much debate, as there is a desire to make more efficient common use cases, while not endangering its performance scenarios with limited network bandwidth. Our take this discussion that no clear single set would work all cases. Earlier research proposed sharing state among multiple connections over time, but approach particular host, which sufficient, because services are often distributed across hosts, opening same host rather rare case. We aim solve problem by proposing Pathlet Transport Architecture models paths pathlets, uses those basis initializing maintaining various parameters, related control. analyze our instantiation PTA architecture using ns-3 simulations show how it improves communication in different scenarios, where magic fail.
