摘要: Despite language disabilities in autism, music abilities are frequently preserved. Paradoxically, brain regions associated with these functions typically overlap, enabling investigation of neural organization supporting speech and song autism. Neural systems sensitive to were compared low-functioning autistic age-matched control children using passive auditory stimulation during functional magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging. Activation left inferior frontal gyrus was reduced relative controls stimulation, but greater than stimulation. Functional connectivity for also increased between superior temporal large-scale showed frontal–posterior connections. Although fractional anisotropy the arcuate fasciculus decreased controls, structural terminations indistinguishable groups. Fractional correlated activity both conditions. Together, findings indicate that process more effectively engaged projections pathways not distinguishable from controls.
