摘要: This paper aims to enhance the credibility of applying sulfur K-edge XANES spectroscopy as an innovative “fingerprint” for characterizing environmental samples. The sensitivities spectra ten compound standards detected by two different detectors, namely, Lytle detector (LyD) and Germanium (GeD), were studied compared. Further investigation on “self-absorption” effect revealed that maximum achieved when diluting with boron nitride (BN) at mixing ratio 0.1%. “particle-size” spectrum was examined comparing signal-to-noise ratios total suspended particles (TSP) particulate matter less than 10 millionths a meter (PM10) collected three major cities Thailand. analytical results have demonstrated positively correlated sulfate content in aerosols negatively connected particle sizes. combination hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) principal component (PCA) has proved can be used characterize German terrestrial soils Andaman coastal sediments. In addition, this study highlighted capability distinguish tsunami backwash deposits (TBD) from typical marine sediments (TMS).
