摘要: A common objection against deliberative democracy relates to the impression that citizens, in general, are unwilling participate democratic politics. We contribute growing literature challenges this by analyzing discursive profile of citizens deliberation. By profile, we refer participants' own perceived role process and their articulated motivations for joining a forum. find those who turned up face-to-face deliberation tend be less cynical toward Moreover, based on expressed participating, it can inferred linking forum decision makers provided an initial hook participants. However, changed as participants completed process. At end deliberations, appreciation itself ended being most resonant sentiment.
