摘要: Measurements of particle number density and Fuchs surface area, together with a range gaseous pollutant concentrations, have been made in June 1995 at coastal site eastern England which receives air from polluted less origins. Periods enhanced local production were identified found to be associated predominantly relatively sectors. An examination the factors contributing homogeneous nucleation hence new suggests that those most important this location are probably hydroxyl radicals availability ammonia. A numerical modeling study calculating characteristic timescales for condensation onto existing aerosol surfaces is able predict periods production. The model oxidation dimethyl sulphide sulphur dioxide sulphuric acid water, combination ammonia, source particles site.
