摘要: We report on seven patients with a novel neuroimaging finding that involves exclusively the cerebellar gray matter at bottom of several fissures both hemispheres but spares vermis. The abnormal were predominantly located in lower and lateral parts hemispheres. affected cortex was hypointense T1-weighted hyperintense T2-weighted fluid attenuation inversion recovery sequences. In some patients, involved mildly thickened slightly widened. three findings unchanged follow-up studies up to 6 years. had various indications for brain magnetic resonance imaging studies, none them dysfunction. Based similarity pattern cerebral "bottom-of-sulcus dysplasia," we coined term "cerebellar bottom-of-fissure dysplasia" refer this finding. characteristic as well favors stable "developmental" (malformative) nature. lack dysfunction suggests dysplasia represents most likely an incidental does not require specific diagnostic investigation allows reassuring attitude.
