摘要: In diabetic patients, there is impairment in angiogenesis, neovascularisation and failure matrix metalloproteineases (MMPs), keratinocyte fibroblast functions, which affects wound healing mechanism. Hence, patients are more prone to infections ulcers, finally result gangrene. Ferulic acid (FA) a natural antioxidant found fruits vegetables, such as tomatoes, rice bran sweet corn. this study, activity of FA was evaluated streptozotocin-induced rats using excision model. FA-treated wounds were epithelise faster compared with control group. The hydroxyproline hexosamine content increased significantly when control. effectively inhibited the lipid peroxidation elevated catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione nitric oxide levels along increase serum zinc copper probably aiding process. results indicate that promotes rats.
