摘要: Diffuse axonal injury (DAI), associated with deafferentation and functional rearrangement, probably plays a role in the chronic phase of traumatic brain (TBI). DAI haemorrhagic component can be quantified using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) thanks to iron-based susceptibility effect haemosiderin, which increases field strength. The aim this work was compare conventional 1.5 Tesla 3 MRI assessment TBI patients. Eighteen patients were submitted, random order, 1.5T 3T examination standard gradient echo sequences. Both scans always performed on same day. lesions manually segmented classified by anatomical location. Wilcoxon ANOVA tests used for statistical analysis, significance being set at p<0.05. results study showed that is almost twice as sensitive assessing terms lesion number volume. Differences between two scanners not significant posterior cranial fossa. High-field enhances may help increase understanding mechanisms underlying subacute clinical, cognitive behavioural changes
