摘要: A cohesive zone interface element degradation law is presented for analyzing delamination crack propagation under cyclic loading. Development of the based on a detailed study numerical and extraction strain energy release rate from this zone, enabling direct link with experimental Paris Law data. The implemented using three-dimensional elements within explicit finite code LS-Dyna. Validation by way application to composite material fatigue fracture toughness tests; Double Cantilever Beam Mode I, End Notch Flexure mode II Mixed Bending mixed case. In all cases good agreement data available in open literature and/or theoretical solutions was obtained.
